Forget your long underwear and woolen socks...
Clothing in Playa is easy and straight forward:

Swimming
gear for the beach
- Sunglasses
and a hat
against the hot sun
- A sweater or fleece for a chilly night at the beach (Dec-Feb)
- Trecking clothes, in case you plan to do some travelling
- Long-sleeved, light coloured clothes in case you are scared of mosquitos
- Some good shoes for partying
- Some good shoes in case you decide to climb a Mayan pyramid or treck the jungle
- Flip-Flops will usually take you everywhere
