The Academia de Español "El Estudiante" was founded in 1997. It was the first and only language school in Playa del Carmen and has grown continously.
Because of our high quality and our interdisciplinary orientation we could become the probably best language school in Playa. Over the years people from all over the globe have recognized this expertise and our students now range from travellers up to employees from large international coorperations.
But we also offer a profound knowledge of the Mayan world: The founder and architect Dieter Richter has been involved in Mayan studies ever since his first visit in 1987 and is now colaborating in the largest Mayan research project ever and this also reflects in the atmosphere of the school..
